Because of its lack of sensitivity to the red, it allows to be easily developed and managed in the darkroom with a red safelight.

In portrait photography, this film makes skin and lips tones darker, creating very intense images. It's a perfect choice if you wish to portray skin or body details, such as skin textures and lips.
In landscape photography grass and leaves will be of a lighter grey tone, giving landscapes a very enlighted look, whilst surfaces that refelect the red color, as barks and some kind of rocks and flowers, will be darker with an amazing contrast.
