510 Pyro is one of the most modern pyro developers, invented by Jay DeFehr. It offers exceptional fine grain and sharpness, a shelf life of over 6 years.
Developer's tint allows extraordinary shadow recovery in direct digitization of negatives, easy enlargement and incredible separation of detail and tone in silver gelatin printing in the darkroom, and increased highlight density when using UV-based alt process printing methods. It protects the film and provides optimized negatives for scanning, silver gelatin, and UV printing processes with equal or similar development times.
The use of extremely dilute working solutions (1:100 to 1:500) makes this developer extremely economical!
