Zone Imaging Eco Zonefix is a powdered, rapid eco-friendly, odorless, alkaline, non-hardening fixing agent.
It is diluted with water to make 1 liter of ready-to-use working solution.
The capacity is about 15 rolls of 36exp film.
Ideal for both B&W films developed with pyro/catechol dyes or conventional developers and B&W films developed on paper.
Low odor, requires no acid stop bath, fast wash times, long life and designed for soft and hard water up to 500 ppm.
Sodium thiosulfate-based, free of borate derivatives, non-biodegradable EDTA/DPTA-based chelating agents, phosphates, acetic acid, known carcinogens and mutagens.
This fixer is designed for optimal fixing of films, RC and FB papers with fast wash times with both conventional non-staining film/paper developers and pyro/catechol-based staining film developers.
It has a long shelf life, high capacity, is compatible with soft to very hard tap water up to a hardness of 500 ppm, and can be easily transported on the go to meet the needs of all consumers.
Being odorless ensures a more pleasant working environment in the darkroom.
The slightly alkaline nature of the fixer makes films more resistant to over-fixation and quick washing of film and paper without the need for hypo-clear.
The powder has been formulated and packaged to minimize dust dispersion into the air when pouring the contents, to make it easier to use and meet the standards of educational institutions.
Mixing instructions
1. Prepare about 700 ml of hot water at about 30°C +-3°C (86°F +-5°F) in a graduated container.
2. Slowly pour the contents of Part A into the water and stir continuously until largely dissolved, which will take about 30-45 seconds.
3. Slowly pour the contents of Part B into the solution.
4. Add hot water to make a total of 1 liter.
5. Stir continuously until all the powder has dissolved, which will take about 60-90 seconds.
The final temperature of the solution will be about 20°C +-2°C (68°F +-4°F) to be ready for use.
