Kodak Professional Rapid Selenium Toner is used to enhance the stability and longevity of the metallic silver in black and white photographic media. By converting it to more stable and archival silver selenide, this toner helps in preserving the prints for a longer time.
When used with warm-tone papers, it produces cool chocolate-brown hues, with neutral-tone papers, it results in purplish brown tones and very little or no effect on cold-tone papers.
Per una protezione ottimale della stampa, si consiglia di utilizzare una diluizione 1:20 del toner. Se si desidera aumentare il contrasto delle ombre e la densità massima con una variazione minima dei toni, è possibile utilizzare una diluizione 1:20 o 1:40.
