How to use it
How to use it
Three agitations mode
M-BOX allows you to choose different agitation modes during the development process.
Three programs are available for each stage of the process, from development to washing.
Motorized and controlled agitation ensures the best possible development results, guaranteeing uniform treatment even in 120 and in the most uniform areas of the negative, such as sky or backgrounds.
Program 1: Continuous slow
Continuous, slow rotation (approx. 40 rpm)
Recommended for the stop, fixing, and washing phases for which a higher speed is not necessary.
This program allows you to save energy.
Program 2: Intermittent
Intermittent and fast rotation (approximately 80 rpm)
Recommended for the development phase, this program achieves better results in terms of development homogeneity.
The program stops for 4 seconds every 16 seconds, this interruption increases the uniformity of development, especially on the most homogeneous areas (skies, backgrounds) of the negative.
Program 3: Continuous fast
Continuous and fast rotation (approximately 80 rpm)
Recommended for stopping, fixing, and washing phases.
It can also be used for developing 35mm film. It is the fastest program but also consumes the most energy.
Charge level of the batteries
To charge the M-BOX, insert the supplied USB-C cable into the port on the side of the motor.
Once charging is complete, the red charging light will turn off.
The M-BOX has a battery life of approximately 60-70 minutes at maximum speed after a full charge.

Between 100% and 25% charge, there is a reduction in rotation speed (from 85-90 rpm to 60 rpm), which does not affect the results, however, as it always remains above the minimum rotation for uniform development.
We recommend recharging the M-BOX for a few hours every 3 development processes, or in any case, as a precaution, using the motor when the charge is at least at 50%.

Professional Lid cap, with built-in timer and thermometer. Allows control of temperature and time as the developing process unfolds. Very useful in developing color film. It is used by replacing the standard cap with the ProLid cap.

Crank: crank for continuous agitation, allows smoother agitation without interruption for a more uniform development result, especially recommended for film 120 development.

Film retriever: essential for pulling the film tail off the spool and loading it into the Lab-Box. Made of metal, durable, small and handy.

Lab-Mat: non-slip and anti-drop silicone mat. It can be placed under the Lab-Box during development to hold it firmly in place during agitation. Thanks to the raised anti-drop edge and the waterproof and washable silicone material, it protects the work surface from chemical drips.
